I am quite surprised by the unexpected great interest in browsing my website. It is not a secret that I do visit my own website due to hackers etc. on a daily basis. But I was quite surprised when I realized that I had 3585 visits this month, taking into considereration that I do blog about useless information once in a while:-)
Still. 3585 is a lot I think.

Kompakt records (Cologne - Germany) is driven by one of the electronic music superstars; Michael Mayer who defined the sound off pop influenced electronic parties for almost a decade.
It is one of my favourite electronic music label along with Perlon and I try to save up money to buy their entire backcatalog. Kompakt records represent a broad aspect of music - from their banging speicher series to pop music on their sub label Kompakt Pop. And here we go:
British artist Sam Taylor-Wood - one of the infamous YBAs who came to prominence along with Damien Hirst, Tracey Emin et al in the early 90s - is to release a 12" single on exactly Kompakt Pop.
It is a collaboration with the Pet Shop Boys (whom the Kompakt chaps are long-standing fans of), 'I'm In Love With A German Filmstar' is a cover of the unspeakably brilliant and, surely, unbeatable 1981 post-punk weepie by The Passions.
As well as producing, the Pet Shop Boys proffer an additional 'Symphonic mix'; further remixes come courtesy of Kompakts heroes: Gui Boratto, Jurgen Paape and Mark Reeder.
Taylor-Wood has dabbled in pop before, singing on two previous collaborations with Pet Shop Boys: covers of Serge Gainsbourg's 'Je t'aime...moi non plus' and, under the pseudonym Kiki Kokova, Donna Summer's 'Love to Love You Baby'. She first worked with the duo in '97 when she created the visuals and staging for their live show Somewhere at London's Savoy Theatre.
I have not yet heard the whole remix pack version of 'I'm In Love With A German Filmstar', but for your reference here's the video for Taylor-Wood: 'I'm In Love With A German Filmstar'.

Finally I was able to track down a fashion show I did for Björn Borg for the fashionweek in Stockholm (Februar 2008). The show was held at Berns hotel and is very much inspired by the seventies. The show was characterized as nordic and masculine. What more can you actually dream of: Nordic and masculine:-)
Enjoy

What is a brand really?
Well. A lot of definitions and opinions exist in this well wrtitten academic area. Normally it is Marketing professors and brand consultants who define what a brand is and not normal people and consumers.
