I know this may sound a little boring, but I like statistics. I like to measure things - especially on the web. And when working with web and business measuring is important.

Yesterday I found the website BuiltWith and BuiltWith Trends, which provides weekly updated free information about the most popular technology used on the web across all areas of web technology.

Normally web statistics sites have a boring interface, but BuiltWith has a stripped down interface showing only content which is relevant and usable.

Let's take an example: You want to know what's popular on Twitter. Well - go to BuiltWith and search for Twitter and BuiltWith provide you with insight and statistics about what's going on on Twitter: http://trends.builtwith.com/javascript/Twitter-Platform.

Or you want to know how popular the CMS Drupal is: http://trends.builtwith.com/cms/Drupal

Basically BuiltWith can provide you with probably almost everything.
