After several delays, the Danish National Radio has finally released their own iPhone application. You find it in the App Store under the name DR P3.

The program is linked to to the radio program P3. The App let you see the five most recent songs, a current top 20 of most played songs on P3 and a minor news overview. Furthermore you can check out the DR music catalog and find background information. Cool.

The program is out in version 1.1, and there is clearly room for improvement. Among other things, the sound should not be that great. You can say that the Danish National Radio, discriminates individuals without iPhones. Well. DR promises to make applications for other phones, if the interest is high enough.

DR has also put the source code for the program out for download. Go get the codes here. Open source and DR rules!

Read more about DR's app here and download the app here. And check out an very emotional/Apple wanna be ad about the application below. The software is by the way developed by a Danish company named Huge Lawn.
