The most popular social network in Denmark, Facebook is about to launch Facebook Deals, which is all about presenting discount for users from companies like McDonalds and 7Eleven. The idea is based on the "check in" GPS function in the Facebook application, and with Facebook Deals users can spot "Deals" from companies or shops in the area, and see if there is a "Deal" like e.g. discount on a McDonalds burger.
If the user/consumer likes the offer, let's say the burger, they click on it, and shows their phone to the staff in the restaurant they will get the burger, and the "Deal" will be announced on the comsumers Facebook wall.

Aarhus is the worlds smallest big city (a former slogan) with around 300.000 inhabitants, where more than 80.000 are students. A city with an young population so to speak. The problem, but also the good thing about Aarhus is, as I see it, the local atmosphere. (The city has everything within 15 minutes on bike - the sea, forest, downtown etc.) The localness of Aarhus is also the city's Achilles’ heel, because of this image the city faces a great future challenge: To attract an international audience, which will be crucial in order to be competitive in terms of economic, but also cultural growth in the future.
Today Denmark's second biggest city Aarhus, got a new corporate identity and brand slogan. The new identity and slogan have been on their way for the last 6 months and is made by London based consultancies Goosebumps Branding Agency and Global Cities.

Vogue Hommes Japan has recently launched an interactive platform together with Dior Homme. The interactive platform is based on GIF pictures in black and white. Off course. Dior Homme is involved. The output is really cool and too much - typical Dior style.
Because of the GIF feature you can watch it on an iPhone or iPad. Check out some of the GIF's from Vol. 1 below.

Watching the World Cup in football is great. Watching the commercials between the matches is not great. The commercials lacks in terms of quality and humour. Except one: Heineken - Walk in Fridge. I believe its brilliant and spot on. A lot of men would die for such a walk in fridge.
Watch the Heineken - Walk in Fridge commercials here:

The last week I spent in London, where my brother lives. As we were hanging out in the city center we visited a Burberry shop, due to the fact that my brother needed a new winter coat.
The British luxury brand Burberry is more than 150 years old, but the entire brand is marketed as an innovative company taking fully advantage of Twitter and Facebook. I think Burberry is a success (I suppose) because they combine their history with web 2.0 digital branding.
